The beach bar with perfect sunsets – where you can watch dolphins with a pint
A BAR in the UK has drawn attention online for its perfect sunsets and amazing views.
Having an ice cold pint on a summer’s day is one of life’s simple pleasures and there’s a place where you can do that right on the beach.
Fistral Beach bar in Newquay, Cornwall calls itself the “original beach bar” and has been situated on Fistral Beach since 2001.
The Cornish landmark boozer is a popular spot throughout the summer, with its cocktails and beers providing refreshments to beach-goers.
And there are plenty of people who visit Fistral Beach too, all drawn in by its golden sands and clear blue waters.
It’s not just humans who find the beach appealing either, with dolphins seen swimming in the waters just off the beach’s shoreline.

Last summer, one was spotted “playfully putting on a show” for swimmers, as reported by Cornwall Live.
Lifeguard Arron Evans described the events, saying: “The dolphin appeared very friendly and playful and put on quite a display for everyone.”
Because of its position on the beach, it’s likely those sitting on the bar’s decking outside would’ve spotted the dolphin too.
Views like that, as well as the glowing orange sunsets, are part of the reason the bar has such positive scores on TripAdvisor.
One visitor wrote: “What’s not the like? Perfect location. Great atmosphere. Plenty of seating.”
Another added: “Been visiting for 14 years and love it. The view out across the beach is wonderful and when the sun goes down, there is no better place to watch it.”
Others have been compelled to share their love of the bar online too, including Tiktoker Hannah Rebecca (@hannahrebecca__).
In a video online, she showed the sunsets that can be seen there, as well as some other stunning views of the beach.
Activities on the beach can be found at the Fistral Beach surf school, which offers both lessons and equipment hire for anyone looking to enjoy the waves.
Rooms in Newquay overlooking the beach can be found from £29.50pp per night, while camping pitches are as little as £17 a night.
Meanwhile, this seaside town in the UK is also home to dolphins, whales and puffins, as well as amazing castles.
And these are some of the most tranquil staycation spots in the country.
