Tennis star Naomi Osaka ‘gives birth to first baby with boyfriend Cordae’
Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka has reportedly given birth to her first child, a baby girl, with her rapper boyfriend Cordae.
The 25-year-old tennis star is said to be doing well after welcoming the couple’s new arrival.
A source close to Naomi claimed to E! News: “They are doing great.”
Naomi announced she was pregnant in January this year, whilst confirming that she would not be returning to the WTA Tour until 2023.
Sharing the news, Naomi wrote on Instagram: “Can’t wait to get back on the court but here’s a little life update for 2023,” before unveiling she was expecting her first baby.
She also opened up about going through a “challenging” time over the past few years.
The athlete penned: “These few months away from the sport has really given me a new love and appreciation for the game I’ve dedicated my life to.
“I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted, everyday is a new blessing and adventure.”
Naomi added: “I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future.
“One thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom,’ haha.”
Back in June, Naomi confirmed she and Cordae were expecting a daughter.
The couple threw a Princess-themed baby shower.
The tennis player was pictured with her baby bump on display in a crop top while standing next to pink and purple balloons.
A sign at the event read: “A little Princess is on the way.”
Naomi also shared a snap of her baby’s father, Cordae, planting a kiss on her blossoming bump.
The athlete previously told Japanese TV that becoming a mother would “push me even harder and give my best”.
She added: “I want to win another eight Grand Slam tournaments and try to win the gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.”
