Ten Hag equals record with 27th home win of the season as Red Devils seal third
MANCHESTER UNITED came from behind to beat Fulham 2-1 and secure third place in the Premier League.
And in doing so they have matched a club record 27 home wins in all competitions this season.
It has been a phenomenal rebuild from Erik ten Hag after United finished sixth last season – 13 points off the top four.
The Red Devils were battling Newcastle for third spot and got off to a disastrous start when Kenny Tete headed the visitors in front from a corner.
It almost went from bad to worse after Casemiro fouled Aleksandr Mitrovic in the box, but David De Gea denied the striker from the spot.
That sparked a reaction from United and they almost equalised when Alejandro Garnacho smashed his shot against the bar.
Moments later Fulham were carved open down their right flank again as Tyrell Malacia wriggled his way into the box.
Two defenders tried to tackle the left-back and the ball fell perfectly for Jadon Sancho who tapped in.
It was one-way traffic from then on and the Red Devils found the breakthrough after half-time as Fred played through a wonderful ball to Bruno Fernandes.
The Portuguese feigned to go round Bernd Leno before cleverly dinking the goalkeeper
