Telly fans are just realising they can access more than 100 FREE hidden channels
PEOPLE may not realise their Freeview box has a load of hidden TV channels.
These little-known stations are actually made available via your internet.
So if your Freeview TV or box isn’t hooked up, give it a go to see what you might be missing out on.
Some of the channels are niche interest but others you’ve probably heard of.
These include music channels Now 70s and Now 80s, as well as news and special interest sports channels from across the world.
Most are offered through free portal channels on Freeview.
For example, Channelbox on channel 271 claims to offer more than 70 free channels alone.
And on number 261 you’ll find Vision TV with 35 channels, including shows in non-English languages.
Other choices are available as standalone streamed options also in the high 200s, so have a browse around on your box.
Some channels may take a moment to load, so don’t switch off if you see a blank screen.
Radio lovers can also find even more stations via the web as well.
Channel 277 is the UK Radio Portal with a number of extra options to listen to.
If you don’t have Freeview, there are other ways to find extra free TV.
Most smart TVs have their own streamed channels.
LG and Samsung are just some of the manufacturers who have built in these special channels into their TV sets.
For people with an LG TV it’s available via an app called LG Channels.
Open it and there’s a load of TV series, movies and news channels.
Samsung TV Plus channels are largely themed around popular shows you’ve probably heard of before.
