Teen drama returns with new episodes

After a streaming hiatus Gossip Girl is back with the final six episodes of its debut season. Here’s everything we know.

Gossip Girl fans will know that in this world, all hell generally breaks loose on Thanksgiving.

So it’s only fitting that part two of the reboot will premiere express from the US this Thursday on Binge*, just in time for the holiday season.

The hugely buzzed about show dropped the first six episodes of season 1 back in July, taking a brief streaming hiatus before finally now returning with the last six.

We’re thrust back straight back into the lion’s den with the new cohort of privileged upper-east siders who are now ruling the streets of Manhattan, and judging by the trailer (which you can watch above) the wait will have been well worth it.

We’re talking cheating scandals, threesomes and friends turned enemies among the list of many scandals. And the Gossip Girl Instagram page is finally taking off after a slow start, making waves in global media as its targets – the students at Constance Billard – all begin to turn on each other.

Stream Gossip Girl Part Two on BINGE from November 25. New customers get a 14-day free trial and start streaming instantly. Sign up at binge.com.au

The reboot series is set eight years after the original Gossip Girl, when the gossip website went dormant following Dan Humphrey’s big reveal in the 2012 finale.

Now, there’s a new shady blogger at the helm setting her sights on fresh faces, namely frenemies/half sisters Julien Calloway (Jordan Alexander) and Zoya Lott (Whitney Peak).

It’s executive produced by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the original creators and showrunners who made a bona fide star of Blake Lively, and brought us the television chemistry masterpiece that was Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick).

New episodes of Gossip Girl will hit the platform weekly on Thursdays.
