Teams: Latrell blow rattles Blues’ selection plans
Latrell Mitchell has been left out of the Rabbitohs side to play the struggling Dragons at Kogarah on Saturday afternoon.
Mitchell was expected to return this week for his first and only hit-out after a calf injury ruled him out of Origin I.
The decision will leave Blues coach Brad Fittler with a dilemma on whether or not to pick Mitchell having not played for a month by the time Origin II rolls around.

Analysis: David Fifita has been left out after he appeared to be suffering concussion symptoms following the Titans clash against the Rabbitohs last weekend. He was cleared of his HIA, but given the Thursday night schedule would be his third game in eight days, the club decided to rest him. AJ Brimson also returns early from a hamstring injury. For the Tigers, Tim Sheens has backed the same squad that nearly got the job done against the Raiders, although Api Koroisau will return to the starting lineup.

Analysis: Tom Trbojevic has been named having been cleared by the NRL of a category one concussion sustained late in Origin I. Daly Cherry-Evans will also return with Cooper Johns making way. For the Dolphins though, a season-ending injury to Tom Gilbert and three-week suspensions for Jarrod Wallace and Anthony Milford have forced Wayne Bennett into a big shuffle. Jeremy Marshall-King is back after he was a late withdrawal last week. Poasa Faamausili comes into the starting lineup, while Herman Ese’ese and Kurt Donoghue come onto the bench. Max Plath is 18th man after his debut last week.

Lachlan Fitzgibbon has been named but may yet not play after suffering a calf injury against the Sea Eagles last weekend. They beat the Titans off the back of their last bye in round 10, but will need a mammoth effort to do the same against the Broncos.

Andrew Davey will also return after missing last week with a concussion. Dylan Brown has been named in the halves, but could yet be stood down by the NRL under their No-Fault Stand Down policy.
