TCS announces senior leadership changes

The company reported that it has made several changes to identify senior management personnel (SMP) in the company under the SEBI guidelines. The SMPs identified include Harrick Vin, Shankar Narayanan, V Rajanna, Siva Ganesan, Ashok Pai and Reguraman (Regu) Ayyaswamy.

TCS also said that chief technology officer K Ananth Krishnan will retire on July 31, 2023.

Rajashree R, former chief marketing officer at TCS is no longer a senior management personnel, the filing said. It is not clear if Rajashree has moved on from the organisation. TCS’s response on the matter are awaited.

Earlier this year, former CEO Rajesh Gopinathan abruptly resigned and the company appointed K Krithivasan as its CEO. ET had reported that the company was evaluating widespread changes in top leadership as a number of key leaders were also set to retire during the next few months.

Dr Harrick Vin, a TCS Fellow, has been appointed as the chief services innovation officer at TCS. He has been in academia and industry for over 30 years and has been with TCS for 18 years. ET had earlier reported that Vin is likely to replace Krishnan’s role in the organisation.

Narayanan is a senior vice president at TCS and has been with the company for over 30 years. He has held various roles including the global head of the retail, CPG, travel and hospitality businesses at TCS and business excellence and transformation of large accounts. Rajanna is senior vice president at TCS and the head of the communications, media and technology businesses. With 32 years in the IT industry, he has been with the company for over 29 years. Prior to this role, Rajanna was the head of the technology business unit.

Ganesan is senior vice president at TCS and the global head of the Microsoft business unit. Prior to this, he was heading the travel, transportation and hospitality businesses at TCS.

Pai is a senior vice president at TCS and the global head of TCS’ cognitive business operations (CBO).

Ayyaswamy is senior vice president at TCS and the global head of the internet of things (IoT) and digital engineering units. A 38-year veteran of the industry, he has been with the company for over 29 years.
