Taylor Swift vs. Whitney Houston beef divides Twitter: ‘You’re delusional’

Apparently there is Bad Blood brewing between Taylor Swift and Whitney Houston fanatics — and it’s not right, but it’s OK.

Curses and epithets are being tossed around on Twitter between the ferocious fan camps of the 31-year old “Cardigan” crooner and the late “I Will Always Love You” chanteuse. And the digitally dueling sides both insist that their preferred musical powerhouse is more talented than the other.

“Whitney Houston is better than Taylor Swift by a long shot. This shouldn’t even be a question,” a die-hard devotee of the six-time Grammy winning singer said. “…Taylor’s talent is in her song writing abilities,” a Swift stan stated in part. “From the music to the lyrics, she is a complete artist.”

The debate over which diva reigned the most supreme sparked after a clip of Barstool Sports staffers Brandon Walker, Eric “Barstool Nate” Nathan and Kelly Keegs squabbling over the matter went viral this week.

In the post, which has netted a whopping 280,000 views, Walker argued that Houston — who died at 48 in 2012 due to drug-related complications — “belongs on the Mt. Rushmore of female singers.”

However, Nathan and Keegs maintained that Swift outshines the “Saving All My Love” songstress, citing the “Red” crooner’s abounding singing, songwriting and directorial prowess.

Keegs even called the 11-time Grammy winner a “goddess” and “our lord and savior,” in her campaign for the “Folklore” luminary.

The intra-office clash likely erupted as an effect of Barstool’s highly contested “Top 10 Female Singers of All Time” list, which was released Tuesday.

Mariah Carey, 52, and Houston earned the top two spots, respectively, in the athletics and pop culture news brand’s ranking. However, the likes of vocal dynamo Adele, 33, and TikTok star Addison Rae, 21, earned the lowest billing on the roster.

Swift was not named.

And when it came to the “All Too Well” songbird being compared to the “Greatest Love of All” soloist, most Twitter commentators didn’t want her name uttered in the same sentence as Houston’s.

“Taylor Swift and Whitney Houston shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same sentence,” one person tweeted. “Y’all really comparing The Voice Whitney Houston to Taylor Swift?? What fresh level of hell is this??,” said another.

Other fans of Houston’s haunting notes shared hilarious videos and memes to underscore their frustrations over the folks drawing parallels between the two soloists.

So far, Swift has yet to openly comment on the chaos.
