Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets have been flying out the door but fans in Paris have to wait as the sale has been suspended.

Over one million logged onto Ticketmaster to join the general sale, which differs to the UK presale that’s happening later today for London and Liverpool.

The four Paris dates are all being sold today with one sale opening at 9am and another due to start at 11am.

Ticketmaster France announced that both sales would be suspended for now after tweeting about site issues.

The queue was reportedly not moving as over a million Swifties rushed to grab the French dates.

‘The Taylor Swift sale | The 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Eras Tour for Paris La Défense Arena has been put on hold.’ tweeted Ticketmaster an hour after the first sale opened.

‘We will keep you posted with a new on-sale time as soon as possible. All codes not already used will remain valid.’

The site was already selling tickets to Taylor’s shows at Paris’ La Défense Arena on Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10, 2024.

Another sale at 11am was set to open for the Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12 gigs but all have been postponed.

It’s unclear if the site will go ahead with the two Lyon concert sales, which was planned for 1pm.

These tickets were a general release, which fans had to sign up to be put into a lottery for in order to get a code.

UK general sale works the same way, with Swifties selected to be able to try and buy tickets, in an attempt to limit bots and scalpers as well as ease the traffic on the sites.

Paris is possibly extra popular, on top of being one of only two Taylor host cities in France, due to her song Paris on Midnights.

Less than 15 minutes after opening the Paris sale, Ticketmaster tweeted: ‘Some of you may be having issues with the site this morning – we are working on it and will let you know.’

The site has not yet confirmed if the sale will return or the reason for the suspension.
