Taylor Swift and Matty Healy have reportedly reunited barely a full month after claims of their split shocked fans across the globe.
A source told The Sun that the pair feel “something electric between them” and have “overcome” the issues that originally caused their split.
The couple are determined to “make it work at all costs” as they set aside time to be with each other while they both continue their worldwide tours.
The friend of The 1975 singer added that he is “utterly smitten” with Taylor and that the 33-year-old seems to have “mutual” feelings towards him.
The couple have dominated headlines for months with their rumoured relationship after the London-born musician was spotted at a few of Taylor’s Eras tour concerts earlier this year.
Similarly, the 33-year-old songstress was spotted at The 1975’s London O2 concert in January.
Neither Matty nor Taylor have confirmed or denied the rumours, but having seemingly stoked the flames in interviews.
In the height of their online speculation, Matty suddenly quit social media and offered a peculiar explanation at one of The 1975’s Australian shows with many fans believing he was actually subtly confirming their romance.
The 34-year-old said: “Everything happens in eras. The 1975 is a very eras band.
“The era of me being a f*ing ahole is coming to an end.
“I perform all the time and it’s my job and I love doing this but I can’t perform off the stage anymore as I just want to be a bloke.”
A few weeks later, Matty’s mother, Denise Welch, seemed to support her son as shared an insight into his tour life in an interview with OK! Magazine.
The 65-year-old candidly admitted: “Matty is absolutely shattered. He’s on a world tour and as much as it’s hard to go, ‘Oh, please feel sorry for my boy’…”
“People don’t realise that it’s gruelling to be the lead singer, the creator, the writer, the producer of a massive show on the scale that Matthew does. Then he gets on stage and gets in a plane and flies seven hours and then flies 24 hours.
“It’s a wonderful life, but he’s absolutely exhausted and ready for a break.”
