Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Joe Alwyn reportedly enjoyed a whirlwind winter break as they flew 4,000 miles for a trip to Cornwall..

Last week, the loved up couple are said to have taken a private jet from the I Knew You Were Trouble hitmaker’s Nasvhille home to London before moving onto St Ives.

As reported by The Sun, friends of the pair have suggested there may have been something ‘particularly special’ about the trip after travelling so far for the three-day break.

‘Taylor’s a superstar and obviously very wealthy, so she can travel almost anywhere she wants at any time. But to go that far just for a few days clearly meant a lot to them,’ the source said.

‘They’re certainly very happy and enjoying their time together. Lockdown made things even more serious and they’ve lived together throughout.’

It’s said the couple – who have been together for six years – are said to have rented a house for the visit rather than booking into a hotel.

Taylor and Joe have been private about their romance, and in 2018 he admitted he prefers ‘to talk about work’.

He told British Vogue at the time: ‘I’m aware people want to know about that side of things. I think we have been successfully very private and that has now sunk in for people…but I really prefer to talk about work.’

He later explained he never got advice on being in such a high profile relationship, but he knew his own boundaries.

‘I didn’t seek out advice on that,’ he told Esquire. ‘Because I know what I feel about it. I think there’s a very clear line as to what somebody should share, or feel like they have to share, and what they don’t want to and shouldn’t have to.’

Meanwhile, in August 2019, Taylor reiterated that their relationship ‘isn’t up for discussion’, so she makes sure to stick to that herself.

‘I’ve learned that if I do, people think it’s up for discussion, and our relationship isn’t up for discussion,’ she said.
