Tata Power net profit up 31% at Rs 632 cr
“Consolidated PAT before exceptional items up by 76% YoY (year-on-year) at ₹775 crore in March quarter against ₹440 crore in Q4 FY21 (March quarter),” the company said in the statement. The consolidated revenue surged 16% to ₹12,085 crore in the March quarter, compared to ₹10,379 crore a year ago. In 2021-22, the consolidated net profit rose to ₹2,155.61 crore from ₹1,438.65 crore in the preceding fiscal.
The company stated that FY22 consolidated PAT (profit after tax) before exceptional items was up by 61% year-on-year at ₹2,298 crore compared to ₹1,424 crore in FY21.
The consolidated revenue increased 28% to ₹42,576 crore in FY22 from ₹33,239 crore in the previous financial year.
The board has also recommended a dividend of ₹1.75 per equity share of ₹1 each (at the rate of 175%) to the shareholders for the year ended March 31, 2022.
“We ended FY22 on a high note, with our 10th consecutive quarter of PAT growth, fuelled by broad-based growth across all our business clusters comprising generation, transmission, distribution including Odisha and renewables,” said Tata Power CEO Praveer Sinha.
