Sykkuno Leaves Twitch for YouTube and Joins the Likes of Ludwig, TimTheTatman, and Dr Disrespect

Streaming platform Twitch continues to lose its superstar content creators to rival platforms, as another one bites the dust to join YouTube Gaming in Among Us star Sykkuno.

Over the last few years, the purple platform has embroiled itself in multiple controversies, which has led to critical comments from both creators and fans. This has allowed platforms like Facebook Gaming and YouTube Gaming to lure streamers away from Twitch, with lucrative deals and freedom to create the content that they like.

Sykkuno is the latest to join the long-list of streamers, who have jumped ship from Twitch to YouTube Gaming. The first high profile move involved Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofsetetter, who first became an exclusive YouTube streamer back in 2020.

Since then, we have seen the switch happen with major streamers like DrLupo, TimTheTatman, Dr Disrespect and many more, who left Twitch to join YouTube Gaming for different reasons. The most recent high profile switch revolved around Ludwig “Ludwig” Ahgren, who once was the most subscribed Twitch streamer, following his record-breaking month long subathon.

Sykkuno announced his departure from Twitch in a video, which he released on Twitter with the caption, “it’s been a good run.” The video shared details on the streamer’s start in the industry as a kid, who began his journey by playing games in a shed in his parents’ backyard.

We then see a montage of Sykkuno and his adventures on games like League of Legends, Among Us, Minecraft and GTA RP with voiceovers featuring hilarious commentary from other streamers like Valkyrae, who has collaborated multiple times on streams with him.

With another Twitch streamer leaving the platform in favor of YouTube Gaming, it remains to be seen if the Amazon-backed website can regain its footing and stop more of its popular content creators from departing as well.
