Switch OLED, Xbox Series X S Seagate Card, PS5 SSD Amazon price cuts

On Tuesday October 11 and Wednesday October 12 the second Prime Day sale of this year is being held – but you don’t need to wait till then to bag a bargain. Ahead of the upcoming sale Amazon has slashed the prices of a range of gaming products, with the Switch OLED, Seagate Expansion Card for the Xbox Series X/S and a PS5 SSD all getting big price cuts.

In the run-up to the return of Prime Day the Nintendo Switch OLED has dropped to one of its cheapest prices ever at Amazon UK.

The newest member of the Switch family – which comes with a vibrant OLED screen which is larger than the standard Switch – usually costs £309.99.

But ahead of Prime Day Amazon UK has slashed the price of the Switch OLED by over £20 to £289.

This drops the price of the Switch OLED to not too far off the regular model which retails at £259.99.

Elsewhere, if you own an Xbox Series X or an Xbox Series S and you’re struggling for space Amazon has some good news for you.

The price of the Seagate 1TB SSD expansion card has dropped ahead of Prime Day 2022.

Usually this is easy-to-install storage expansion costs £254.99, which is a pretty hefty price.

However, in the run-up to Prime Day Amazon has dropped the price of this extra storage to £179 – that’s a whopping saving of almost £76.

Speaking of storage, if you’ve got a PS5 and are running out of space then Amazon has you covered as well.

With the PS5 you’ll have to tinker with the console a bit to install an SSD inside of it.

This isn’t as straightforward as the Xbox Series X/S storage solution but means you have more options to choose from.

One of the most popular options is the WD_BLACK SN850 SSD with Heatsink.

This drive is compatible with the PS5 and a 1TB version will typically cost £257.99.

But right now this SSD can be purchased from Amazon for over half price – with the drive available for £114.59.

That’s a whopping saving of £143.40.
