Suicide Squad game: Here’s when ‘Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’ may launch – Times of India
Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is one of the upcoming major game offerings from Warner Bros, apart from Gotham Knights. However,a report suggests that the former game could have been delayed to 2023, as per a report by Bloomberg. The gameplay trailer of Suicide Squad back in December raised the hopes of people looking forward to another game from RockSteady Studios but it looks like development may have taken a hit.
It might be that the developers do not want to rush into making the game, which is a good thing, considering the bad response the first live-action film featuring the team got, which only got slightly better with the James Gunn Suicide Squad. DC and Warner Bros. would not want to mess this game up. Also, the pandemic could also be responsible for throwing the work in low gear.
DC had unveiled the story trailers for Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League and Gotham Knights last year at DC Fandome, which led to the specualation that the games were set for a 2022 release.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an open world action game featuring Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark. In the game, Amanda Waller’s team of “the worst of the worst of the worst” is going to take on the “World’s Greatest Superheroes”. But why go against the good guys who are considerably more powerful than them? Why would Amanda Waller make them? Because the Justice League got ‘corrupted’.Had this been a film, it could have fared better for the team on the box office. We have such hopes from the game too and maybe a year into the future won’t hurt that much when the game finally comes out.
