He was the face of road safety in India till Covid-19 snatched him away recently. As road crashes are a leading cause of death, disabilities, and hospitalisation in the country, Mohan pushed for making wearing helmets mandatory, advocated the importance of airbags and seat belts, and worked on saving lives through various injury-prevention initiatives.
