Strictly’s Karen Hauer addresses surgery fears ‘It’s tragic’

Karen Hauer opened up about potentially going under the knife after the dancer suffered a serious knee injury.

The Strictly Come Dancing favourite was forced out of the BBC show final, but fortunately managed to avoid undergoing surgery.

Addressing her recovery, Karen told Express.co.uk: “It was really hard actually. I didn’t have any doubt that I would do it. I just found it really hard mentally because I felt like I let myself down.

“It’s something like this that can happen to anybody at any point. Any injuries, back injuries, rolling your ankle, anything like that.

“I almost felt like I let my body down and that I wasn’t strong enough. I wasn’t as strong as I thought I was. I was pretty much punishing myself mentally which was the wrong thing to do.”
