Strictly’s Hamza Yassin dedicates heartwarming message to Jowita
Strictly Come Dancing ace Hamza Yassin has won the heart of the nation with his recent spirited performances, despite his initial belief he was too large for jiving. Now he has told dance partner Jowita how much he values her, following their Blackpool performance over the weekend.
Hamza, 32, addressed her in view of his 29,000 Twitter followers, declaring she was his “leading lady”.
“It was my absolute pleasure to grace the floor of the famous Blackpool Tower with you,” he gushed.
“I know how much this particular ballroom means to you as a dancer.
“I want to thank you for your kindness, your patience and your understanding. You are the best! #strictly.”

Followers responded warmly, with one insisting they would never watch the show again if he didn’t make it to the final.
@katetownsend added: “Hamza, there are no words to describe just how absolutely incredible you are… you blow me away every time.”
However, some followers were more critical, with @petegotloft sniping: “When are you going to do dances with high energy and technical difficulty in comparison to what remaining contestants have done? Asking for a friend.”
@JulieHarries13 batted off the criticism on his behalf, insisting: “All dances are high energy and extremely technical, they just vary in pace.
Meanwhile, despite his fond comments in favour of Jowita, Hamza has made it clear there is currently no room in his life for romance.
“My job doesn’t really allow for a relationship,” the hard-working TV presenter and camera-man, who often travels the world to film footage, admitted.
“How can you sustain a relationship, like: ‘I’m sending you a text message from a satellite phone, because I’m in the Arctic for two months?!'”
He added to the Guardian that, outside of the glitz and glamour of the Strictly stage, he lives in a very remote location.
In fact, his closest “shopping town” takes two and a half hours to reach, as he calls a tiny village of 150 inhabitants on the Ardnamurchan peninsula home.
Yet he says he only feels isolated if he is having a “down day”, which is unusual for the positive-thinking CBeebies star.
He revealed on Strictly he is obliged to catch the ferry to the Scottish mainland once a week when he wants to do his food shopping.
Being a dance star on TV is poles apart from his usual lifestyle, but over the weeks, he has increased in confidence and now, according to bookies, is highly likely to become a finalist.
