Strange UK theme park voted one of the country’s best introduces new attraction
ONE of the UK’s best-loved theme parks has introduced a brand new attraction for kids ahead of the summer holidays.
Kids will break up from school at the end of the month, meaning parents will be looking for places to keep them occupied.
One place they could turn to is Diggerland in Kent, where a new attraction for kids 17 and under has been launched this year.
It involves a number of police cars that have caused confusion among visitors recently.
However, the park insists that there is no reason for alarm as the cars are all part of the park’s newest addition, which allows youngsters the chance to drive them around a track.
Diggerland say the attraction enables kids to indulge their sense of
adventure, and experience while enjoying the thrill of driving in a safe and controlled environment.
They claim the electric police cars “offer an authentic and interactive experience, allowing children to feel like real-life police officers on a mission”.
The park has taken all necessary measures to ensure the attraction is both a secure and supervised experience.
Trained Diggerland staff members are present throughout the ride, ensuring that safety rules are followed at all times.
The electric police cars are equipped with speed governors that
limit their maximum speed, unlike their real counterparts.
This ensures that the driving experience remains safe and enjoyable for young participants.
Additionally, all visitors are provided with safety briefings before getting behind the wheel.
A Diggerland representative said, “Diggerland’s commitment to providing unique and exciting experiences for visitors is at the heart of everything we do.
“This latest addition to the park’s attractions is a testament to our ongoing dedication to delighting families and children of all ages.
“So, if you happen to spot police cars at Diggerland, don’t fret, it’s all part of the fun and excitement that awaits you.
“Let your children unleash their inner police officers as they enjoy the thrilling experience of driving their very own electric police cars.”
Kids must be under 17-years-old and taller than 140cm to drive the cars.
For parents who don’t want their kids driving the police cars, or for kids who aren’t able to, there’s still plenty to see at Diggerland.
In fact, Kid Rated declared it to be the fifth best theme park in the country.
They said: “Diggerland is a great place for the family to try out real, full-size construction machinery.
“There are numerous locations dotted around the country, and it’s a fully unique experience.
“You can have a go on a 6 tonne Digger, drive a JCB and much more.
“There’s even a mini digger on the hunt for buried treasure or ten pin bowling with a twist: taking control of a full-size Komatsu PC14 and attempting to knock over skittles with a mini wrecking ball.
“It’s the best way to bowl. There are indoor and outdoor play areas for younger kids to let off steam while parents can relax.”
Meanwhile, a UK theme park is challenging Disney with a huge new waterpark featuring infinity pools, beach and water slides.
And Therme Manchester will be a “next generation” park that will offer guests 25 pools, 35 water slides, thermal bathing and a wellbeing spa.
