Stocks that delivered up to 3,000% in a year are among Kacholia’s latest buys
According to Trendylne, Kacholia made new investments in
and during the July-September period, and increased stake in Safari Industries, latest shareholding data showed.
The smallcap czar held 2,97,216 equity shares, or 2.52 per cent, stake in container and packaging player Xpro India at the end of September quarter, 2021. His name was not among the key shareholders of the company earliers.
Xpro India is a diversified company in the polymer processing industry, which deals in BOPP films, coex cast films, coex sheets, dielectric films and more.
His stake in the company was worth Rs 20.8 crore at Friday’s price. The microcap has soared about 2,000 per cent in this year and more than 3,200 per cent in the last one year.
Similarly, Kacholia held 19,17,606 equity shares, or 1.54 per cent stake, in logistics player Gateway Distriparks as of September 30, 2021. He did not hold a significant stake in the company earlier, the data showed.
Gateway Distriparks is a Mumbai-based logistics company with three verticals — Container Freight Stations, Inland Container Depots with rail movement and cold chain storage.
His stake in the company was worth Rs 47 crore at Friday’s market price. The stock has delivered over 100 per cent return so far in 2021.
Kacholia bought 12,644 shares of luggage maker Safar Industries, increasing his stake to 6,14,288 equity shares, or 2.74 per cent, at the end of Q2FY22. He held 6,01,644 shares, or 2.69 per cent stake, in the previous quarter.
His stake in the Gujarat-based company, which manufactures polypropylene and polycarbonate luggage, trolleys and bags, was worth Rs 52.5 crore at of Friday’s market price. The scrip has jumped 110 per cent in the last one year.
Latest shareholding data showed Kacholia holds a stake in some 23 stocks with a net worth of over Rs 1,714.4 crore.
