Stella McCartney selling Mercedes given to her by dad Paul for her 21st birthday
STELLA McCartney is selling the Mercedes given to her by her dad Paul for her 21st birthday – and it’s surprisingly cheap.
The 1992 K-reg 190E will go under the hammer in Worcestershire on Saturday, 18 March – and is expected to fetch between £5,000 and £8,000.
The car only has 43,000 miles on the clock, and the auction house said the Mercedes is “very tidy”.
The outside is in near perfect condition because it’s been covered up in a barn for 15 years.
Auctioneer Ben Homer told Worcester News: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the interest and have had some fantastic items consigned to us.
“Stella McCartney’s Mercedes is already drawing attention, but other lots exciting collectors are the VW Karmann Ghia and an example of the classic “Back to the Future” Car, a 1981 DeLorean.”
The auction takes place this Saturday, March 18, at Littleton Auctions in Worcestershire.
Stella McCartney was born in London and graduated from Central St Martins in 1995.
In 1997, she became the creative director of Chloe Paris.
And later, in 2021, she launched her luxury fashion house – and showed her first collection in Paris.
Her brand has 46 freestanding stores across New York, London, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Shanghai and Beijing.
But Stella McCartney is also a car enthusiast – and in 2021, she partnered with the German carmaker Audi at Design Shanghai 2021.
