Steam Halloween sale – Here’s when the next Steam sale begins
Steam customers are counting down to the start of the 2023 Halloween sale. Focusing primarily on horror games, Valve’s ‘Steam Scream: The Revenge’ Halloween sale has an October 26 start date, and a 6pm BST UK launch time. The Halloween sale runs until the afternoon of November 2, meaning you don’t have long to take advantage of all the discounts on offer.
Valve explains more: “Steam’s Halloween Fest returns next week with tons of spooky (and spoopy) games for all you ghouls and goblins!
“Join us October 26 – November 2 for Steam Scream: The Revenge as we celebrate the spirit of Halloween with a full week of discounts, demos, and upcoming releases, starting October 26 at 10am PT.”
Judging by the Steam Scream: The Revenge trailer (which you can see below), games such as Black Mesa, State of Decay 2 and Little Nightmares 2 will all receive discounts.
That’s on top of discounts for titles including Devour, Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach, Remnant From the Ashes and Have a Nice Death.
Exact prces will be revealed once the Halloween sale goes live on the evening of October 26.
Other games to be discounted as part of the Halloween sale include V Rising, the recently released Dead Space remake, Grim Dawn and the superb Dredge.
Finally, Valve has confirmed plans to slash the prices of Hollow Knight, GTFO and Cult of the Lamb.
While not officially confirmed, don’t be surprised if the Resident Evil franchise is part of the sale, alongside the likes of Dead by Daylight, DayZ, Phasmophobia, Left 4 Dead 2 and Dying Light 2.
As a reminder, the Halloween sale will be followed by the Steam Autumn Sale, which kicks off on November 21. Then there’s the Christmas sale on December 21.
