Steam Announces Best of 2022 Lists Featuring Titles Like Elden Ring, Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and More

Popular video game marketplace Steam has unveiled its Best of 2022 lists, showcasing the platform’s biggest titles when it comes to revenue and player base.

The Best of 2022 list features details on Steam’s Top Sellers (based on gross revenue), Most Played (based on peak conccurent players), and more.

When it comes to the Best Sellers list, games have been bifurcated into tiers, with the Platinum tier taking the top spot for games having the highest gross revenue in 2022. This year, the Platinum tier featured some of Steam’s most popular titles like Dota 2, CS:GO, Apex Legends, Destiny 2, Monster Hunter Rise, Elden Ring, PUBG: Battlegrounds, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and more.

In the lower Gold tier, there are titles like Dead by Daylight, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, FIFA 23, God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V, Cyberpunk 2077 and others.

When it comes to the Most Played section, the highest tier featured games with over 240,000 peak concurrent players. This included titles like Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Goose Goose Duck, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, ARK: Survival Evolved, Destiny 2 and others.

In the tier featuring titles of over 130,000 peak concurrent players, there are titles like Rust, Total War: Warhammer III, Team Fortress 2, New World and others.

On the Steam Deck side of things, some of the console’s most played games include Vampire Survivors, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, No Man’s Sky, Hades, Stray, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and more.
