Star Wars: The High Republic Announces Third Wave of Titles

Lucasfilm Publishing announces Star Wars: The High Republic’s first Wave 3 titles, including three new books and a new comic.

During this year’s Comic-Con@Home virtual convention, Lucasfilm Publishing announced the first batch of titles that will arrive as part of Wave 3 of the Star Wars: The High Republic publishing initiative.

Star Wars: The High Republic Wave 3, Phase I is set to launch in January 2022. It will consist of three new books — one for adults, one for young adults and one for middle grade readers — as well as a new tw0-part comic book limited series.

The adult novel, titled The Fallen Star, comes from author Claudia Gray and will be published by Del Rey. The YA novel is titled Midnight Horizon and comes from author Daniel José Older. Finally, the middle grade book, Mission to Disaster, comes from author Justina Ireland. Midnight Horizon and Mission to Disaster will both be published by Disney Lucasfilm Press.

Meanwhile, Marvel Comics is set to publish The Eye of the Storm, written by Charles Soule. The series will consist of two 30-page issues and will delve into the origin story of one Marchion Ro.

Wave 2 of Star Wars: The High Republic kicked off back in June with The Rising Storm by Cavan Scott and Race to Crashpoint Tower by the aforementioned Older. They will be followed by Out of the Shadows by Ireland, which is slated for release in just a few days on July 27.
