Stacey Solomon introduced her sister Samantha Stone to her 5.7 million Instagram followers yesterday.
The 33-year-old Loose Women star’s older sister Jemma regularly appears on her social media, but the brief cameo from step-sister Sam was a rare occurrence.
Stacey, who first rose to fame on ITV’s The X Factor back in 2009, explained to fans why Sam hadn’t really appeared on her Instagram story before.
“My sister’s come round to give me a gym session,” Stacey announced, before adding: “This is Sam, everyone.”
The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner then explained: “Sam is very camera shy – not real life shy – just camera shy.
“But you were all like, ‘Who the hell is this mystery sister?’ So here she is and we’re about to have a little gym class together.
“This is the gym reality,” Stacey continued as she panned the camera to reveal two toddlers playing on the floor.
“We also run a crèche alongside it with our two daughters Poppy and Rose. They’re both the same age so it works out perfect.”
Stacey has five children altogether, sharing her first two sons 15-year-old Zachary and 11-year-old Leighton with former partners, while her husband Joe Swash also has 16-year-old Harry from a previous relationship.
In addition, Stacey and Joe share three children together: their youngest daughter Belle, who was born in February, toddler Rose, who was born in October 2021, and Rex, four.
In her Instagram caption, Stacey continued: “I promised I’d introduce my other sister to you and @Samantha.Stone1 did not love this!
“She’s the funniest and craziest of all of us but is the most camera-shy person I know.
“The other kids are with Joe but I always try to take at least one to the gym so it’s easier for him,” she added.
Another clip saw Stacey lifting weights in flattering yellow work-out gear as Sam watched on supportively – and even the kids tried to join in at one point.
Stacey told her followers: “I’ll be honest I find EVERYTHING so hard. But I’ve got so much better and stronger and I’m so proud of the fact that even though I genuinely do not get excited to start exercising I do it. For myself. (And so grateful my sister fills me with motivation).
“I have the craziest work family schedule atm and honestly it’s given me so much energy,” she continued.
“I feel so much better in myself. I don’t care what I look like. It’s never bothered me and I love my body and all it’s done for me.
“I just wanted to feel good and get my energy back and showing up and exercising is doing that for me,” she finished with a heart emoji. (sic)
