Stacey Dooley issues candid apology as she’s ‘flying solo with my baby’

Stacey Dooley and her longtime partner Kevin Clifton welcomed their first baby, Minnie, in January this year.

While the 36-year-old has endeavoured to get back to her career in the spotlight, she made a candid confession on Instagram, admitting it was difficult to keep up with her little one by her side.

She wrote on her story after her In Conversation show last night in Guildford: “I’m so sorry I can’t stop and properly hang out with you all after the shows.

“I’m flying solo with my baby and she’s still on the boob so I have to rush off stage and get straight in cab to feed her etc and get her to bed.

“I’m SO SO SO GRATEFUL to every single person that comes along. I truly am. PIs don’t think I’m being big time.”

The new mum confessed: “I’m just tryna juggle atm…so I’m genuinely sorry if I can’t sign books or have a selfie.”

The TV star only just started her UK-wide tour this month, paired with her new book Are You Really OK? And this isn’t the first time the mum has had to address her rush once the stage lights are off.

After her very first show in Southend, Stacey shared a candid snap of the event from the audience’s perspective, writing: “Annnnnnnd we off! Southend on Sea….what can I say? From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU. I’m always floored that people wanna come hang out.

“I’m SO SORRY I couldn’t stay after to sign books and selfies. Kev’s also on tour (in Dublin) and I have to get back for the night feed,” she wrote, adding a little cow emoji.

Stacey continued: “I PROMISE if we do another one I will stay after. Thank you for a lovely evening.”

Proud dad Kevin has also been candid on the impact of trying to juggle work and family life as he stars in Baz Luhrmann’s musical Strictly Ballroom.

Speaking earlier this year on BBC Morning Live, the 40-year-old gushed: “We’ve just completely fallen in love with her.

“I do feel a little bit guilty sometimes when I’m on the road. Like I miss them as they’re obviously at home, but I do get a night’s sleep.”
