Stacey Dooley has shared an update on her home renovations with fans, revealing that there may be some costly things to fix.
The presenter, 34, shared a photo of her living room with most of the floorboards missing as insulation was laid underneath, adding: ‘FINE FINE FINE FINE THANKS.’
A fan commented: ‘This explains the Filofax,’ to which Stacey responded: ‘I can schedule my meltdown accordingly.’
Stacey also revealed that her renovations have uncovered another potentially larger issue which could be costly to resolve.
She explained: ‘I’m in the kitchen because my house is upside down, back to front and also wonky, I’ve been told today.
‘So I’m really thrilled about that because that sounds really cheap to sort…’
While work is well under way in the property, some eagle-eyed fans spotted that there may also be an issue with the insulation being fitted under her floor, too.
They commented: ‘Celotex should be fitted properly with no gaps … and use some foam in between if needed, Otherwise what’s the point of insulation if cold getting trough the gaps.’
Others added: ‘This is NOT how you lay flooring,’ ‘Bad floor fitting etiquette that is’ and ‘That insulation is well bodged.’
Some commented: ‘I hope that the floor void is vented otherwise you will be replacing the whole lot shortly!!’ and ‘No membrane or ply?’
Despite the process not sitting right with some, most of Stacey’s fans were sure it would look incredible once finished and encouraged her to not stress about the process while it is being done.
She had revealed in 2020 that she was planning to change the flooring in her living and dining room for a darker shade, telling her followers: ‘The floors are going darker next year. To match the hall. That’s the right decision, innit?’
