Stacey Dooley has admitted that she has been feeling the pressures of parenthood since giving birth to her first daughter.
The documentary maker and her partner, Kevin Clifton, 40, welcomed their first child Minnie earlier this year.
Speaking to The Sun, Stacey, 38, discussed motherhood and revealed that she would “love to have more babies” with her Strictly boyfriend.
She said: “Do you know what’s hilarious? You’re so tired and sometimes you really feel like you’re in the trenches, it’s a haze and you’re just trying to figure it all out.
“I think I would love to have more babies. But I said to Kev the other day, ‘Don’t you want to do this again?’
“And he went, ‘Are you nuts? You’re over-tired!’,” she continued.
The mum-of-one then made the stark admission: “I’ve had one [baby] and am completely failing.”
“To say I have found the last couple of months easy would be totally disingenuous.
“I used to think people were exaggerating and being melodramatic when they were saying how hard it is.”
The presenter went on to say that prior to Minnie, she had “completely underestimated” the sleep deprivation that comes with being a parent.
38-year-old Stacey also revealed that becoming a mum for the first time is, “the hardest gig you’ll ever do.”
The conversation with The Sun comes ahead of the mother’s new show — Family and Me.
The W documentary is a special one-off episode of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over which sees the host reflecting on episodes from prior seasons.
The episode is also set to feature a candid conversation with Kevin, who will “provide an exclusive first glimpse at their life as a family of three.”
The couple announced that they were pregnant with Minnie last summer via social media.
Taking to her Instagram account in August 2022, Stacey shared a picture of a Polaroid photograph with her 1.1 million followers.
In the caption, she wrote: “Gaaaaaaang…..We are having a baby!
“So bloody delighted. Kev, you’re magic, I love youuuu.”
She then joked: “Was becoming impossible to hide and if one more person asks me if I’ve had my t*** done in LA I’m gonna scream).”
Announcing the birth of her and Kevin’s daughter, Stacey posted a photograph of an envelope which read ‘Minnie’s parents’ to her social media account.
She wrote: Our Daughter is here. My little masterpiece!I’m COMPLETELY OBSESSED.Love you Minnie, Love you Kev x.”
