St. Louis Blues provide injury update after Post Malone stumbles while wearing jersey

We’re still waiting for NHL training camps to begin, but the St. Louis Blues Twitter account is already in mid-season form.

Grammy-nominated artist Post Malone was rocking a St. Louis Blues jersey on stage at Enterprise Centre this Saturday when he stumbled through a hole that had been used to lower the acoustic guitar in a previous set. He crawled on stage and was transported to hospital for treatment.

The @StLouisBlues official account was quick to provide an update on his injury status.

“Post Malone sustained an upper-body injury Saturday but did return to action,” the team posted. “Gotta be tough if you wear the Blue Note and he did not disappoint.”

The Blues said they were glad Malone was OK and that they look forward to seeing him back in the city.

“Ray Barile gonna get him right we already know,” commented Twitter user @twelcher15, referring to the Blues’ head athletic trainer.

In a short video he posted Sunday, Malone apologized for the mishap and said the fall “winded me pretty good and got me pretty good.” He said he was back from the hospital and ready to continue with his tour.

“I just want to apologize to everyone in St. Louis,” he said as he thanked all the fans that had showed up at his concert and promised to come back and do a two-hour show to “make up for the couple missed songs.”

“Thank you for hanging around, even though I got my ass kicked by myself.”

A similar incident happened to Canadian music icon Justin Bieber when he was walking on stage at the Show Purpose World Tour in 2016 in Saskatoon. Bieber was able to hold on to the sides, and quickly shook the incident off and continued with his performance.
