Spider-Man: No Way Home Official Poster Confirms Return of Green Goblin

The first official poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home gives us our first look at Willem Dafoe returning as the Green Goblin. The poster, revealed by Sony seemingly at random, shows Spidey amidst a battle with Alfred Molina’s returning Doc Ock with Dafoe’s Goblin hovering in the background.

Aside from those, there are ominous references and hints towards the return of Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Sandman from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3. Together these constitute 4 of the rumoured sinister six villains in the film, with the fifth member possibly being Rhys Ifan’s Curt Connors/The Lizard from The Amazing Spider-Man. Speculation is running rampant about the arrival of Tom Hardy’s Venom on or against the team after Venom: Let There Be Carnage’s post-credits stinger.

With the first poster unveiled, it won’t be long before Sony releases the second trailer for No Way Home, which many fans speculate will finally show the return of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s past Spider-Men. A recent leak gave us our first look at the returning heroes’ suits, which largely remain unchanged. The same leak also showed us how the Green Goblin will be sporting a different, modernised costume, although the poster alludes to the original Spider-Man (2002) design for the character.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is slated to release on December 17, 2021 in theatres exclusively, and will tie into next year’s Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness.
