Spider-Man No Way Home: Daredevil star Charlie Cox cancels event for ‘filming’
Tom Holland reveals he has received the Spider-Man 3 script
Reports surrounding the cast list of Spider-Man No Way Home have suggested the arrival of a number of prominent actors, including the likes of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. One of the most interesting rumours includes Cox, who played Matt Murdock / Daredevil in the Netflix Marvel TV show. The series enjoyed three thrilling series before being cancelled, ending the star’s run as the blind superhero. The latest news about the 38-year-old star has continued to point towards his involvement in the third Spider-Man Marvel movie.

Cox was due to appear at the Celebrity Fan Fest convention in San Antonio next weekend, August 6.
Unfortunately for convention-goers, Cox has pulled out of the event due to “schedule changes”.
The official Celebrity Fan Fest Twitter account wrote: “THE SAD NEWS: Unfortunately, due to last-minute filming schedule changes, Charlie Cox will no longer join us for #CelebrityFanFest.
“But don’t worry, if you sent in an item to SWAU for an autograph or still want to, he’s graciously agreed to make sure everything gets signed.”

GOOD NEWS and some SAD NEWS!
THE GOOD NEWS:
Tomorrow (Wednesday 7/21) we will make a NEW GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT for Saturday August 7th and Sunday August 8th.
This is a very positive announcement and we think fans will be very excited about this new guest being added to #CFF2021. pic.twitter.com/L2eZC3YWP4— Celebrity Fan Fest (@CelebFanFest) July 20, 2021
While this is a sad turn of events for attendees, it does beg the question – what is Cox filming?
According to the star’s Wikipedia page, the only upcoming show he has is Kin which has “finished filming” and is in post-production.
If he is not filming for that show, he could certainly be doing some shooting for No Way Home.
The third Spider-Man film is currently filming in Atlanta, so his attendance isn’t out of the question.
Spider-Man: Will Charlie Cox be attending filming for No Way Home?
Spider-Man may team up with Daredevil
The theory states that Cox would reprise his role as Murdock to help Peter Parker (Tom Holland) out of a sticky legal situation in No Way Home.
This scenario would no doubt have begun after the final moments of Spider-Man: Far From Home, which saw Peter’s secret identity being revealed on national television.
To make matters even more convincing, Kevin Feige was recently asked about whether the MCU would go on to incorporate elements of the Netflix Marvel series.
He replied: “I look at anything that’s happened before, whether it’s our movies, whether it’s Marvel Entertainment TV series, and, particularly, obviously, the comics, video games, cartoons.”

Feige went on: “All of it is available as inspiration for the future of Marvel. That’s the way the comics have worked for 80 years. So, we’ll see.”
Furthermore, Cox has previously confessed he would absolutely love to make a comeback as Matt Murdock.
When asked if he could envision a fourth season of Daredevil, the British star said: “I don’t feel that way, no. And, I don’t know why I don’t feel that way, but I haven’t been given any reason to believe that.
“And, from a cynical point of view, it just feels like maybe I’m trying to protect myself, ’cause I’d love nothing more than to do it again.”
If Cox were to make a comeback as Daredevil, fans would no doubt call for either a new series of the show, or a spin-off movie.
This, the star went on, could be tough as the other actors from the show have already moved on to other projects.
He said: “But when you make a television show, it’s so complicated, and people’s schedules are so difficult, and contracts are so difficult.”
The Marvel movies are available on Disney Plus now.
