Spide-Man India is the focus of the new Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse promo, details
The teaser begins with Miles and Gwen Stacy in Earth-50101. We then see Prabhakar showing off his skills and his Spidey bracelets, as he introduces himself to Miles.
Prabhakar then continues to highlight the world of Mumbattan, which is an amalgamation of real-life Manhattan and Mumbai. Just like the two cities, Prabhakar couldn’t help not showing the crazy traffic in his city.
Spider-Man India also has an Aunt May of his own, and she’s aptly named Maya Auntie, who has chai with him. Miles also expresses his interest in having chai, however Prabhakar isn’t too fond of Miles referring to chai as “chai-tea”, which translates to “tea-tea”.
Prabhakar has a significant role in the upcoming film, even though he’s one of the lesser-known Spidey variants from the multiverse. The film will also feature celebrated Indian cricketer Shubman Gill as the voice of the character in Hindi.
Alongside his film debut, Prabhakar also returns to the comics with his first mini-series in nearly-20 years. Spider-Man: India #1 written by Nikesh Shukla and drawn by Abhishek Malsuni is scheduled to release in June 2023.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse arrives in theatres on June 2, 2023.
