Southeastern trains disrupted and cancelled as person hit by train near Peckham
A person was hit by a train between London Victoria and Nunhead tonight (March 22).
Metropolitan Police officers have been called to the scene outside Denmark Hill station in South London. No services are running through the station tonight while emergency services are on the scene. This affects trains between Victoria and Dartford via Bexleyheath. Other trains through the area may be delayed as a result of this incident.
A Southeastern Railway spokesperson confirmed there would be disruption between Denmark Hill and Peckham Rye and trains may face further disruption or cancellation as a result.
“The power to the affected track has been switched off to allow emergency services to deal with the incident,” they added in a statement posted to Twitter at 8.30pm on Tuesday evening (22 March).
Passengers were moved off the train involving the incident at around 9.15pm.
