Recently, images and videos of this upcoming Project Q by Sony PlayStation have surfaced online. These images show how the handheld gaming device looks in action, the operating system that is being used on it and some of its internals. Learn more about the leaked images of the Project Q handheld gaming device below.

Spotted by TheLoadout, tech enthusiast Zuby Tech recently posted these images on their Twitter account. Through the video and images, we see a fully functional device, that is seemingly running on an Android OS. We also get to see the device’s front, back and internals through additional images. These images and videos do make the device look promising, however, we have to wait for an official announcement from Sony to learn more about the features and specs that will be a part of Project Q.

The handheld gaming scene has been growing steadily for some time now. Valve’s Steam Deck has been dominating the scene mostly, but the latest offering from Asus, the ROG Ally, has been giving the device some serious competition.

Sony has been in the handheld gaming scene since before any of these devices came out, with PlayStation having the PSP and PS Vita under its belt. However, it has been too long since these devices have been refreshed. Fortunately, we did receive an announcement from PlayStation this May, revealing a new handheld gaming device for the platform, dubbed Project Q.

Sony PlayStation’s Project Q has managed to gain attention thanks to its unorthodox look. The device has an 8-inch screen sitting in the middle of the DualSense controller, which will seemingly has the same features as the PS5 controller. However, the problem that players have expressed about the device is that it is being marketed as a cloud gaming device, and not an independent handheld gaming system, meaning players would need to have a PS5 already in order to game on Project Q.
