Sony has Reportedly Shipped New Console Prototypes, Could it be the PS5 Pro?
The PlayStation 5 has already become one of the top consoles ever released. Most people still haven’t been able to get their hands on this next-gen console due to the unbelievable demand and supply shortage of the console. Sony is taking all the efforts it can to provide the people with what they need. However, according to latest reports, there have been a few interesting developments in the Sony camp.
As reported by TechRadar, it seems like Sony isn’t done making PS5s yet. It hasn’t been too much time since the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital edition have released and it seems they already have plans to make an upgraded version of this next-gen console. According to the rumors and leaks, it seems that Sony will be coming up with a Pro version for the already powerful PlayStation 5.
Many people have been monitoring the shipment schedule for the PlayStation 5 and over the months they have seen many deliveries of development kits that are speculated to be either prototypes for the PlayStation 5 Pro models or PSVR2 kits, as reported by TweakTown. These deliveries contained the HS Code 981700, which is commonly used for deliveries consisting of video game parts. These deliveries were made from the UK Headquarters of Sony to the United States. Similar deliveries from Japan and Korea to United States have been seen as well.
It is not a 100% sure if these are actually PS5 Pro Models, as Sony hasn’t officially announced anything about a Pro model being in development, so the people should take this information with a grain of salt. But it is certainly exciting news for the people as they don’t even know what to expect from a PS5 Pro version.
One of the most common expectations from the players is that the PS5 Pro will be released with PC-level specifications, and further blur the line between the two platforms. As seen with the PlayStation 4, Sony is most likely to follow the same trend and release Slim and Pro versions of the PlayStation 5.
