Sony has announced the BRAVIA XR OLED A80K television series in India. The new OLED TV series is powered by the Cognitive Processor XR – promising to take vision and sound to the next level. Sony says that its ingenious Cognitive Processor XR thinks like a human brain offering best-in class, ultra-realistic picture quality and incredible sound using Sound-from-Picture Reality.
Sony BRAVIA XR OLED A80K series: Price, availability in India
The new BRAVIA XR OLED A80K series consists of three models – XR-55A80K, XR-65A80K and XR-77A80K. The XR-65A80K and XR-77A80K come at Rs 2,79,990 and Rs 6,99,900 in India; however, there is no word on the pricing of XR-55A80K. The BRAVIA XR OLED A80K will be available for purchase in India starting today through Sony Centres, major electronic stores across India and e-commerce portals.

Sony’s new BRAVIA XR OLED A80K televisions come in three sizes – 55-inch, 65-inch and 77-inch. The televisions have minimalist one slate design with metal flush surface. Further, the three-way stand provides three stand options.
The BRAVIA XR OLED A80K series features XR OLED Contrast Pro that promises to boost colour and contrast in bright areas offering realistic pictures with absolute pure blacks and peak brightness. Moreover, the A80K series comes with a temperature sensor and features a high luminance panel, which results in increased brightness. The XR Triluminos Pro enables A80K series televisions to deliver over a billion colours.
The new A80K series televisions come with XR 4K upscaling and XR OLED Motion technology, promising smooth, bright and blur-free 4K playback. Further, the TV supports 4K 120fps with HDMI 2.1 compatibility, variable refresh rate, auto low latency mode. The TV also supports auto HDR tone and auto Game Mode. The TV runs Google TV, and is also compatible with Apple AirPlay and HomeKit.
The TV comes with the BRAVIA Core app, which offers exclusive pre-loaded movies. Users can redeem up to 5 current releases, and 12 months of unlimited streaming. The TV also offers IMAX Enhanced and BRAVIA CORE Calibrated mode. The A80K series televisions support Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Netflix Adaptive Calibrated mode. Further, the series have Acoustic Surface Audio+ and XR Surround support.
Sony’s BRAVIA XR OLED A80K series supports the BRAVIA Cam. Users can connect the BRAVIA Cam, which supports gesture control, proximity alert, voice chat and more.
