Sons Of The Forest Delayed To 2023

Sons of the Forest, a hotly-anticipated open-world survival game that is expected and sequel to the critically acclaimed The Forest game, has seen its release date pushed back to next year.

Developer Endnight Games has announced that Sons of the Forest has been delayed to February 23, 2023, due to the development team requiring more time to polish the game with the hope of reaching its full potential. This also marks the second delay for Sons of the Forest.

“Due to the scope of our new game Sons Of The Forest, it has been hard to pinpoint an exact release date, and today we have to delay one last time. Giving us time to complete the polish we feel is needed, we will release Feb 23, 20233, priced at $29.99USD.” The delay was caused, according to Endnight Games, because they need extra time to finalize the development process. Endnight Games also revealed that their upcoming survival horror, Sons of the Forest, will cost $29.99 USD when it launches on Steam. Pre-orders for the game are not available yet. However, you can add Sons of the Forest to your wishlist on Steam to be notified of updates.

Sons of the Forest is a survival action game that aims to advance its survival ingredients, such as cooking, crafting, hunting, and resource management, with more dynamic gameplay. As its description depicts, players will explore a fearsome island filled with bloodthirsty creatures. They will build a home and craft various items such as guns, armor, axes, or stun batons to fight against demons, who will begin to prowl the island when the sun goes down. Additionally, Sons of the Forest will not direct players as to their next move, allowing them to decide what to do. It also features an online co-op mode, giving players the opportunity to explore the island with their friends.

Sons of the Forest was initially slated to release in May 2022, but the development team has already pushed the game back to this October. However, it looks like the additional four months were not enough for Endnight Games to polish the game in order to release Sons of the Forest with its best possible version.
