Solenn Heussaff reveals full name of newborn, as Nico Bolzico says baby Lionel feels ‘so French already’

Almost a month after the birth of her second baby with Nico Bolzico, actress Solenn Heussaff finally revealed the name of their second-born: Maëlys Lionel.

True to the word of her husband, the couple did name their second daughter after Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi. Bolzico himself is from Argentina.

“December 14, the birth of our second daughter Maëlys Lionel Bolzico. So much love for my dream team Doc. Henson, the ever handsome @romeonuguidmd, Dr. Gerry De Jesus (every pregnant woman has told me about him),” Heussaff said in the caption of her post.

The day is significant for the couple as it was the same day when the Argentine football team came to win the semifinals of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar led by Messi, who Bolzico had gushed over while announcing the birth of his daughter. The team eventually won in the finals.

In her Instagram post, Heussaff also showed a glimpse of her labor at the Makati Medical Center, where Bolzico was spotted being visibly nervous about his wife’s birth.

“I’m getting ready to go see Solenn, oh my gosh! Here we go. So, I am extremely nervous and shaking,” Bolzico said in the video. 

Heussaff also said that she would upload a video documenting her experience giving birth to Maëlys Lionel on her official YouTube channel on Jan. 6.

Fellow celebrities Dominic Roque, Isabelle Daza, Bianca Gonzalez, Joshua Bulot, and Iza Calzado congratulated the celebrity couple on their recent milestone.

Lionel feels ‘so French already’

In a separate post, Bolzico joked that he wanted to name their baby girl as “Lionel” because according to him, she feels “so French” already, apparently alluding to Heussaff”s French parentage.

“A lot of people that just watched Solenn’s video have been asking me, ‘How could I know my daughter Lionel?’ The reason is I need her to feel Argentinian, she feels so French already because she is our second daughter,” Bolzico said, wearing a straight-faced expression. 

Of course, Bolzico’s celebrity friends including Gary Valenciano, Marc Nelson, Tim Yap, and Richard Juan poked fun at the Argentine content creator’s video in the comments section.

“Hahaha!! Ooooh… move over Pochi, daddy is sleeping in the doghouse tonight,” Nelson said, in reference to Bolzico being a member of the The Bullied Husbands Club.

Heussaff and Bolzico announced that they were expecting their second child in July 2022, while the gender of their baby was revealed in September of the same year. The couple, who got married in May 2016 in France, welcomed their first child Thylane in January 2020. EDV
