Snoop Dogg has shared an update on his collaboration with BTS, revealing his parts have been submitted already
The rapper had previously revealed that he and the K-pop idols would be working on a track together, and it looks like they’ve made a fair bit of progress already.
Speaking at a backstage event for the NBC reality TV series American Song Contest, which he hosts with Kelly Clarkson, Snoop confirmed he’d done his bit.
He told The Buzz: ‘You gotta talk to them [BTS], but my parts are in.’
The rapper had first revealed that a collab was in the works a month ago, telling the A.V Club: ‘I’m going to let them tell you about it.
‘It’s official like a referee with a whistle. I love that entertainment world. It’s good music. It’s [a] vibe.’
Snoop added: ‘I make good music. They make good music, and we end up doing this. This is what it’s always about, bringing our worlds together.’
It won’t be Snoop’s first foray into the K-pop world, as he recalled: ‘I’ve been experiencing the K-pop experience for a long time, connected to the music world [and] scene.
‘I got a record with a group called 2NE1 back in the day. Come on now, it’s what I do.’
BTS and Snoop Dogg have long been fans of one another, with the band including a nod to Snoop’s Doggystyle album in the their 2014 song Hip Hop Lover.
Snoop had revealed the potential team-up on January, saying on the Mogul Talk podcast: ‘I got a group named BTS that’s waiting on me to do a song with them right now, and I’m trying to figure out if I got time to do that s**t.’
BTS have yet to make an official announcement about a song with Snoop, but it looks like it’s well in the works according to the man himself.
