The Jonas Brothers are shedding their wholesome image – and adding a hip sister to their lineup – with the help of “SNL” host Molly Shannon.
The actress-comedian and “SNL” alum played the Jonas Brothers’ newly hired choreographer, Sally O’Malley, during a “Saturday Night Live” sketch that found the evening’s musical guests looking for an artistic perspective to reflect their maturing image.
“The boys feel that they’re not a teenybopper band anymore, and they’re about to start their Vegas residency, so they want a more mature stage act,” band manager Russ (Kenan Thompson) told choreographers Greto (Chloe Fineman) and Turbo (Bowen Yang).

Enter Shannon’s O’Malley, a vivacious 50-year-old dressed in a ruffled red shirt and matching stretch pants. When asked by Turbo what she could contribute to the group, O’Malley wasted no time listing her racy qualifications.
“Try five decades of dirty dancing and red pants-ing,” O’Malley said. “I’ve got half a century of sizzle in my lady schnitzel. … The Grand Canyon’s got nothing on me.”
With continued skepticism from Greto and Turbo, the Jonas Brothers dropped by to defend their confidence in O’Malley’s vision. “We came by because we had a feeling they may not understand your new concept,” Nick Jonas said.
Nick, along with brothers Joe and Kevin Jonas, stripped off their outfits to reveal ruffled red shirts and pants matching O’Malley’s outfit. The band then launched into O’Malley’s signature “kick, stretch and kick” combo.
After Nick failed to keep up with O’Malley’s limber footwork, Joe and Kevin offered O’Malley a spot in the band.
“Do you know any of our songs?” Kevin asked O’Malley, to which she replied, “Absolutely not, I’m 50 years old.”
