Skyrim Anniversary Edition was launched back in 2021, to celebrate the game’s 10th anniversary. Over the decade, Skyrim has established itself as one of the most popular games, boasting a community that is still actively working on keeping the game fresh. The Anniversary Edition includes all the three original DLCs – Dragonborn, Hearthfire, and Dawnguard alongside some bonus packs. Now it seems like Bethesda is planning to release Skyrim yet again, this time for the Nintendo Switch.

Skyrim Seems To Be Getting Another Release, Yet Again

As spotted by Switch Brazil, the Taiwan game rating board has listed the Skyrim Anniversary Edition for the Nintendo Switch. There are no other details on the mentioned apart from this, but the filing date states that it was filed last week, on May 15th.

Whenever a game is spotted on the rating board, usually an announcement is pretty close. Games generally aren’t usually filed for getting rated unless and until it is close to release. The best example is Gotham Knights, which was spotted on the same rating board a while back. Soon after that, we witnessed an announcement from the developers, which had some bad news for fans out there as well since the developers announced that they are ditching the last-gen console variants.

Skyrim was released on the Nintendo Switch back in 2017, and it sold pretty decently on the platform as well. Bethesda had stated back in 2018 that it was quite satisfied with the sales of its games on the Nintendo Switch and it would be looking forward to releasing more games in the near future. From that perspective, the arrival of Skyrim Anniversary Edition on the Nintendo Switch doesn’t seem like a bad bet.
