Sky TV owners receive another free upgrade TODAY – check your box now

SKY Glass and Sky Stream are full of streaming apps but since launching it’s missed one biggy.

The latest change means you can finally use the apps for the four main broadcasters.

My5 can now be found among the apps

My5 can now be found among the apps

We’ve long had BBC iPlayer, ITVX and All4 but one has been mysteriously missing until now.

As of today, both Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers will find My5 available from their TV or box.

So you can access all of Channel 5, 5STAR, 5USA, 5SELECT, 5ACTION’s catch up and streamed box sets in one place.

And it’s free to use no matter what package you have.

The My5 app should appear along the app rail on your device.

Alternatively, you can use the Sky remote microphone function to summon the service.

The move also means anyone who adds programmes from Channel 5 to their personal playlist will now playback from the My5 app.

This is similar to what happens for shows by the other main broadcasters.

Meanwhile, Sky Glass and Sky Stream users gained four new channels today as well – and it’s great for shopping lovers.

Viewers will find the QVC HD channel on their sets.

In addition, QVC Style HD, QVC Beauty HD and QVC Extra HD will land too.

The free upgrades are the latest in a growing list of updates to Sky’s products recently.

STV Player was introduced to Sky Q last week to the pleasure of Brookside fans.

And in February Sky Q customers finally got their hands on the brand new ITVX streaming service.
