Sky TV owners go wild for cheap ‘must-buy’ accessory that saves you money
SKY TV owners can jazz up their controllers – and protect them at the same time.
Amazon is selling a load of Sky Q remote protective cases which could spare you from costly damage.
Customers have likened it to an iPhone case but for your remote.
And best of all, there are a range of colours available so you can really customise it to your living room’s look.
Makers Inbrackets say the accessory is shockproof, which should limit the risk of breaking your zapper the next time it’s dropped.
The flexible rubber allows you to easily stretch it around the device.
It also features a honeycomb texture to improve your grip.
The cover currently costs £7.99 on Amazon – which is a lot cheaper than having to buy a brand new controller if it breaks.
But be sure it’s the right model for your remote.
This particular one is meant for the Sky Q ec2020 model.
However, there are loads of others to be found on Amazon.
“When we replaced the remote, the first time I heard it hit the deck I thought there must be a solution to our problem, I mean I have a nice case on my phone that stops it getting damaged so surely there must be a similar thing for a sky remote… and there is!” one buyer said.
“Having test-dropped the remote from about 2 inches above the floor, I’m not entirely convinced of how shock proof this cover would be if dropped from a greater height, however if it should stop the remote scattering it’s parts across the floor and having to be put back together then I am happy with that.”
