Sky Q customers can record up to six programmes at one time.

So, it’s easy to see how these can quickly get out of control if you’re an avid TV watcher.

In a video on Sky’s Help YouTube channel, experts have given a tutorial on how to make the laborious job of removing endless series from your device an easy feat.

Simply press the Home button on the remote to open Recordings, then scroll to Sort By then tap A to Z.

This will place your recordings in alphabetical order for ease of viewing.

From here, you can find series you have already watched or are no longer interested in.

If you click on an series you want to delete, tap or swipe right on your remote and you’ll see the option to Delete all.

This then pushes all the episodes in the series into the Deleted section of your Sky box.

Anything in the Deleted box will be instantly removed once the device starts to get close to capacity.

Tip: If you’re torn between which series to delete just to clear some space, opt for the 30-episode strong series instead of the 10-episode series to maximise capacity.

If you make a mistake and you want to undelete something, select Recordings and then select Deleted.

Find the show you want to retrieve in this folder and click Undelete.

There may also be times when you want to save your favourite shows from accidental deletion, to do this, you can mark a recording with the Keep button.

If you’re unsure how to check how much disk space you have on your Sky Q box, fear not.

Just press Home button on remote, scroll down to Recordings and click Manage, from there you will see the percentage of storage you have used and how much you have left.
