Arsenal have had a number of players in the past who have enjoyed two spells at the club. Jack Wilshere is currently training with the Gunners as he recovers his fitness while looking for his next move. But the former England midfielder has not ruled out an emotional playing return to the Emirates.
Wilshere left Arsenal on a free transfer in 2018, a decision he recently said he regrets.
He has been training with the first-team and academy since early October.
Asked on talkSPORT on Thursday if he could play for Arsenal again, he replied: “I don’t know mate. Honestly, I don’t know. I’ll tell you what, if it happens you’ll be the first one I text.”

Martin Keown
Keown came through the academy at Arsenal but found first-team opportunities hard to come by.
He left in 1986 and had spells at Aston Villa and Everton before returning to Highbury in 1993.
The defender made over 400 appearances for Arsenal after coming back, winning three Premier League titles and three FA Cups.
Keown retired after the Invincibles season in 2004.
Mathieu Flamini
Flamini had four years at Arsenal between 2004 and 2008 but left at the end of his contract to join AC Milan.
Gunners fans were not happy he rejected a new contract after his best season in the club’s midfield.
Five years later, the Frenchman was back. He initially trained to maintain his fitness in August 2013 but signed a contract towards the end of the window.
He had three further seasons as an Arsenal player, making 93 appearances before leaving and joining Crystal Palace.
John Lukic
Lukic was a regular in his first spell at Arsenal and was the goalkeeper who led the club to the infamous league title win at Anfield in 1989.
He made way for David Seaman and joined Seaman’s former club Leeds in 1990.
After six years at Elland Road he returned to Arsenal as back-up to Seaman.
He soon found himself third choice behind Alex Manninger and made the last of his appearances in 2000.
