Bryan Robson thinks Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should speak to Sir Alex Ferguson for advice amid Manchester United’s poor form.

Jesse Lingard drops hint over his future

Jesse Lingard has dropped a hint over his future after contract talks with Manchester United collapsed.

Lingard, 28, is in the final year of his contract at United and discussions over an extension have fallen through.

The playmaker emphatically rediscovered his best form when on loan at West Ham last season – Lingard scored nine goals and made three assists across his first nine games after the switch – but he was keen to win a regular place in Solskjaer’s side.

While Solskjaer has always maintained that Lingard is an important member of the squad, he’s been handed just 63 Premier League minutes this season and talks over a new deal fell apart following a lack of playing time.
