Simon Cowell insists he never had facelift after Ant and Dec’s dig

Simon Cowell has hit back at Ant and Dec after they joked about his appearance and claimed he has a “new face”.

There is no denying that for 63 years old the Britain’s Got Talent judge looks great, but he has set the record straight and confirmed that he has not had a facelift.

Following the comments made by the presenting duo earlier this week Simon Cowell laughs off any claims he has been under the knife for serious surgery in recent months, reports The Mirror Online.

The ITV talent show will be back on our screens this weekend (Saturday, April 15) with Ant and Dec back to host a new season.

Ant and Dec caused a stir at a media event this week with the BGT judges when they joked about Cowell’s appearance.

Dec told the audience: “We have a new face joining the judging panel.”

To which co-host Ant quipped in reply: “What? Simon has a new face?”

Simon responded: “I think it’s hysterical. I mean, it just makes me laugh. I haven’t had a facelift or anything. I’ve had a bit of Botox or whatever, but nothing drastic. So when I hear about this stuff, honestly it does make me laugh.”

Long-time judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon will be back for this year’s panel, but they’ll be joined by a brand new face.

Former Strictly star Bruno Tonioli will be replacing David Walliams on the judging panel.

Simon Cowell said: “Bruno was just a completely natural fit on the show.

“It was quite remarkable. Even though he’d never seen the show before, it was just brilliant. It was seamless and as I said before, he’s brought some chaos to the show.

“But I’m kind of watching the show through his eyes again because he has never seen it and he’s so excited. It really is great.

Britain’s Got Talent launches Saturday 15th April, 20:00 and continues Sunday 16th April, 19:45 on ITV1 and ITVX.
