All eyes appear to be on one Aussie brand that has shoppers hooked right now, with its apparently effective formulas and lush packaging.

Honestly, we need to see what all this fuss is about.

Hey Bud’s most iconic product has to be the viral Clear As Clay Mask but don’t be put off by that *intriguing* green-hued paste. According to shoppers, the stuff works wonders on the skin and has thousands of reviews that seemingly back it up.

The formula is a creamy and purifying clay that claims to detoxify the skin using Kaolin and bentonite clay with green tea, goji and avocado oil.

But it’s the reaction to this mask that has us both shaken and stirred, with thousands of reviewers raving about its apparently fast-acting effects, with one claiming ‘you’ll see the results straight away’.

They also praised the mask as a winner when it comes to targeting adult acne and a great choice for glowing skin which we all seem to be on a mission to achieve these days.

‘It was a lifesaver for me, I absolutely loved this face mask as I’m not the type to have a prolonged skincare routine but it has it all in one product. It really did leave my skin smooth, glowy, and my blackheads were barely visible after one application,’ wrote one fan on the brand’s website.

Another said: ‘I absolutely love this mask, after reading the reviews and watching some YouTube reviews, I decided to buy it and it’s been the best thing for my combination skin, I’ve been struggling with pimples and breakouts and this soothes my skin so well.’

A third mused on its purported benefits, writing: ‘In a month I’ve seen incredible results! My acne is clearing up, scars are fading, and my skin is so soft.’

It’s not just the clay mask that people are raving about, the brand’s famous exfoliator sold out in just one day, with a 5,500 wait list and if that’s not social marketing 101 then we don’t know what is.

While the brand appears to be going from strength to strength, you may be surprised to know it started with a simple idea from one of the co-founders’ mums.

Hey Bud

The brand’s core idea came from one of the founder’s mum (Picture: Hey Bud)

When Fedele D’Amico suffered from teenage acne, mum Tracey wanted to find a natural way to combat the problem, rather than the drying and harsh alternatives that were on the market.

As a beauty therapist, she had the inside scoop on how to find skincare ingredients that had a chance of working and decided to import some hemp seed oil, after hearing it was starting to make an impact on the global skincare industry.

Finding the effects were positive for hormonal and inflamed skin, an idea was sparked between future co-founders Fedele, Ollie Watts and Alex Roslaniec to create the hemp-based skincare range.

‘Hey Bud dedicates a huge amount of our success to my mum as the first person to ever introduce us to the magical ingredient that is Hemp seed oil!’ Fedele D’Amico said.

‘I’m so grateful my mum put the time and research in to find a better solution for me and my skin, and even more so now that we’ve been able to share it with our Hey Bud community.’

The brand’s Hemp Clay Mask was the first product to launch in Australia in 2020 – and it sold out within months.

The good news is, that it’s currently still in stock on the brand’s website for £28, so you best snap up this viral beauty buy while you still can.
