Shilpa Shetty says husband Raj Kundra’s app videos were erotica and not pornography

Earlier this week Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai cops for his involvement in generating porn clips, circulating them and uploading them on apps and profiting from it. Followed by that the investigation has continued on Raj Kundra’s other businesses and even investigated Shilip Shetty’s involvement in the business. On Friday evening, July 23rd, the Mumbai Crime Branch carried out a search at Raj Kundra and Shilp Shetty’s residence in Juhu for 6 long hours. According to reports in a leading daily, the investigating team left their residence after recording the actress’ statement in the pornography case.

According to the daily, the actress has recorded a statement and said the videos that are coming under the scanner are erotica and not pornography. The actress says that terming the videos as porn is wrong as it is just erotica and even cites more examples of similar content on other OTT platforms. According to the reports the Crime Branch has also seized electronic gadgets during the house raid.

A source close to E Times puts further light on the case and says why Shilpa Shetty’s involvement is being probed, according to the source, “The reason Shilpa has come under the scanner is because she resigned from the director’s position at Viaan Industries.” It was Viaan Industries which was used to produce the videos under question.

On Friday, July 23rd Raj kundra denied all the allegations set against him in the case. However a bail was denied and an extension of his police custody was extended till July 27th.
