Sharon Cuneta claps back after being called ‘sipsip’ for supporting Julia, Coco’s relationship
Sharon Cuneta hit back at a netizen who called her “sipsip” (suck-up) and implied that the Megastar only expressed her support for Julia Montes and Coco Martin’s relationship for the actor to include her in the “Batang Quiapo” cast.
Cuneta earlier urged the public via Instagram to support her “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” co-stars Montes and Martin, who have drawn criticisms after confirming their 12-year relationship.
One netizen then commented on Cuneta’s post, saying that the veteran actress was supposedly sucking up to Martin who co-directs the ongoing “Batang Quiapo.”
“OK sige, sipsip pa more. Baka sakaling isama ka ni Coco sa ‘Batang Quiapo,’” the netizen said. (Suck up even more for Coco to include you in “Batang Quiapo.”)
This irked Cuneta who responded and stressed that she is currently busy with her projects. The actress appeared to have taken down her comments but screenshots of it have already been uploaded on social media.
“Ewan ko kung ilan pa kayong parang walang alam. Sa ‘Probinsyano,’ ako ang inimbita, ‘di ako nagpresenta,” she clarified. “‘Pag ako nagpresenta ng sarili ko, ‘yun ay para makatulong, hindi para matulungan.”
(I don’t know how many more are unaware of this, but they invited me to be part of “Ang Probinsyano”; I did not volunteer myself. I only volunteer [to be part of a project] for me to help them, not the other way around.)
Cuneta added that she has projects lined up for her, including movies and two TV series.
“Lumagay ka sa tama. Sa lahat ng nakakainis sa aming mga artista [ay] ‘yung wala nang alam, bastos pa,” she stated. (Know your place. We, actors, are annoyed at those who are rude when they do not even know anything.)
Cuneta had expressed happiness over Montes and Martin’s relationship as the veteran actress said, “Whatever they may have gone through together, well, it all seems to have been for the best because they are so good to and for each other.” /ra
